Maria Florea - Violin
Born in Esparreguera, Barcelona, into a family of musicians, Maria Florea began studying the violin at the age of four with her father, cellist and conductor Cristian Florea. She continued her training at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid, the Royal Academy of Music in London, the Mozarteum in Salzburg and the Musik-Akademie in Basel, where she worked with teachers including Gonçal Comellas, Zakhar Bron, György Pauk and Rainer Schmidt.As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed in venues including the Palau de la Música Catalana, L’Auditori, Teatro Monumental, the Auditorio Nacional de Música, the Romanian Athenaeum and Wigmore Hall. Her recent appearances include collaborations with the OBC, Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès, RTVE Symphony Orchestra, GIO Symphonia and ADDA Simfònica, as well as performances in Europe, China, Mexico and the United States.
Maria Florea is Concertmaster of the Franz Schubert Filharmonia. She is a founding member of Trio da Vinci, winners of the 14th BBVA Montserrat Alavedra Chamber Music Competition, and co-founder of The Rest Project, an ensemble exploring music alongside text and movement. She performs on a violin by Eduard Sitjas Bonet, made in Girona in 2024.

Miguel Colom - Violin
Born in Madrid, Miguel Colom began his violin studies with Sergio Castro and Anna Baget before continuing his training at the Reina Sofía School of Music, the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” in Berlin with Antje Weithaas, and the University of the Arts Berlin with Nora Chastain. He has also worked with musicians including Eberhard Feltz, Ferenc Rados and Ana Chumachenko.
A prizewinner at several international competitions, he has received awards including First Prize at the Ibolyka-Gyarfas Violin Competition in Berlin, the Musical Youths of Spain Competition and the “Villa de Llanes” International Violin Competition. In 2021, he performed at Carnegie Hall after receiving the Orpheus Award at the Manhattan International Competition.
Miguel Colom is currently First Concertmaster of the Spanish National Orchestra and Choir and is regularly invited as concertmaster by ensembles including the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Wiener Symphoniker, NDR Radiophilharmonie and OBC. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has collaborated with leading orchestras and artists across Europe. He is also a member of the VibrArt Trio and teaches at the Reina Sofía School of Music and the Barenboim-Said Academy.

sebastian klinger - cello
Born in Munich and raised in Spain, Sebastian Klinger began studying the cello at the age of six. He continued his training with Heinrich Schiff in Salzburg and Vienna, and with Boris Pergamenschikow in Berlin. Following numerous national and international awards, he won the German Music Competition in Berlin in 2001, leading to appearances at major German festivals.
His international career developed through the European Concert Hall Organisation’s Rising Stars Series, which took him to venues including Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Konzerthaus Vienna. As a soloist, he has appeared with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the National Orchestra of the RAI Turin and the Gulbenkian Orchestra Lisbon, collaborating with conductors such as Mariss Jansons and Oksana Lyniv.
A committed chamber musician and recording artist, Klinger has worked with Lisa Batiashvili, Janine Jansen, Yo-Yo Ma and Emmanuel Pahud. He was First Principal Cellist of the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra for thirteen years under Mariss Jansons and Sir Simon Rattle. Since 2015, he has been Professor of Cello at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre, and performs on a 1736 Camillus Camilli cello.

Diemut Poppen - Viola
Internationally acclaimed violist Diemut Poppen began her musical training on the violin before making the viola her principal instrument. She studied in Düsseldorf, Aachen, Cologne, Berlin, Bloomington and Paris with teachers including Yuri Bashmet, Kim Kashkashian, Bruno Giuranna, Hatto Beyerle and Peter Schidlof.
As a soloist and chamber musician, she has appeared at leading venues worldwide, including the Barbican Centre, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Wigmore Hall in London, and made her Carnegie Hall debut under Claudio Abbado. She has collaborated with artists such as Gidon Kremer, András Schiff, Leonidas Kavakos and Natalia Gutman, and has performed with conductors including Heinz Holliger, Lorin Maazel and Claudio Abbado.
Poppen was Principal Viola and a founding member of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, and later Co-Principal Viola of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra. Alongside her performing career, she holds professorships at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg, the Zurich University of the Arts and the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid. She is also Artistic Director of the Cantabile Festival Lisboa and Rigi Musiktage, and has recorded for labels including Deutsche Grammophon, EMI, Ondine and Tudor.

Franz Schubert Filharmonia
The Franz Schubert Filharmonia has enjoyed strong acclaim from audiences since its inception, recognised for both its artistic excellence and the relevance of its programming. Formed by a new generation of leading Spanish musicians, the orchestra performs under the inspired leadership of Tomàs Grau, who has served as Music and Artistic Director since the beginning.
The orchestra has collaborated with many of today’s most distinguished soloists and conductors and has appeared in major concert halls including Carnegie Hall in New York, Dubai Opera, the Palau de la Música Catalana, Gran Teatre del Liceu, L’Auditori de Barcelona, the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, and the Palau de les Arts in Valencia. Its international touring has taken the ensemble to the United States, Germany, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
The Franz Schubert Filharmonia presents its own subscription seasons in Barcelona, Tarragona, and Lleida, and since 2009 has had the honour of serving as resident orchestra of El Vendrell, birthplace of Pablo Casals. Alongside its concert activity, the orchestra has developed a notable discography, including Alba Eterna, an opera by Albert Guinovart released on Sony Classical, and Die Romantische Seele with pianist Judith Jáuregui, produced by ARS Produktion and awarded the International Classical Music Awards, with a nomination for the Opus Klassik Awards.

Yamila Pedrosa - Double Bass
Born in Gor, Spain, Yamila Pedrosa Ahmed began her musical training on the piano before discovering the double bass at the age of eight. She graduated with the Extraordinary End-of-Degree Award and Honors Distinction from the Conservatorio Superior “Rafael Orozco” de Córdoba, studying with Ángel Santafé. She later graduated with Lode from the Istituto Superiore di Studi Musicali di Reggio Emilia and completed a Master’s Degree in Performance at the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” Berlin with Gunars Upatnieks.
During the 2017/2018 season, she was a member of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin Academy, mentored by Igor Prokopets. Since 2021, she has been Principal Double Bass of the Franz Schubert Filharmonia and regularly collaborates with ensembles including the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Deutsche Oper Berlin, OBC, the Orquestra Simfònica del Gran Teatre del Liceu and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia.
As a soloist and chamber musician, she has performed works by Bottesini and Koussevitzky and collaborated with artists including Daishin Kashimoto, Joaquín Riquelme and Alexandra Soumm. She is also active in contemporary and historically informed performance, working with ensembles such as Les Musiciens du Louvre, Balthasar Neumann Ensemble and Jordi Savall’s YOCPA. Since 2024, she has served as Director of the Franz Schubert Filharmonia Academy.

Tim Park - cello
Cellist Timothy Park grew up in New York in a Korean family and began his musical studies at the age of eight. At eleven, he entered the Juilliard School, later continuing his education at Yale University with Aldo Parisot. At the invitation of David Geringas, he moved to Germany, where he completed his studies at the Musikhochschule Lübeck and the Hochschule für Musik “Hanns Eisler” Berlin.Praised for the expressive quality of his sound and the intensity of his performances, he has appeared as a soloist with orchestras including the New York Chamber Orchestra, Detroit Symphony, Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Berliner Symphoniker, Tel-Aviv Camerata, Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra and Lithuanian National Chamber Orchestra. He has also held the position of Assistant Principal Cellist of the Staatskapelle Berlin.
An active chamber musician, Park has appeared at festivals including the Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival, Salzburg Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Lucerne Festival and International Pharos Chamber Music Festival. He has collaborated with artists such as Daniel Barenboim, Elena Bashkirova, András Schiff, Yuja Wang, Emmanuel Pahud and Jörg Widmann. In 2013, he received the Grand Prize of the S&R Foundation Washington Award. He performs on a 1740 Gennaro Gagliano cello.

Dolors Chiralt - Oboe
Born in Moncada, Valencia, she studied at the Valencia Higher Music Conservatory with Francisco Salanova, where she received the Final Degree Honour Prize and the Mercedes Massi Prize for the best academic record. From 1993 to 1995, she continued her studies at the Rotterdam Conservatory with Emanuel Abbühl, obtaining the higher diploma in solo performance.
A member of the National Youth Orchestra of Spain from 1992 to 1996, she appeared as a soloist at Madrid’s Auditorio Nacional de Música. Her further training has included masterclasses with Stefan Schilli, Salvador Mir, Eduardo Martínez, François Leleux and Maurice Bourgue, with whom she has studied regularly since 2006. She also won First Prize at the Montserrat Alavedra International Chamber Music Competition as a member of the Haizea Wind Quintet.
Since 1997, she has been Assistant Principal Oboe of the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya. Since 2001, she has also been Professor of Oboe and Chamber Music at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, alongside an active commitment to teaching and masterclasses for conservatoires and youth orchestras.

Josep Fuster - Clarinet
Josep Fuster trained at the Valencia and Barcelona Superior Conservatories with V. Romero, J. Talens Sebastià, J. Panyella and J. Tordera. Since 1993, he has performed with the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya, while also teaching Clarinet and Chamber Music at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya since its foundation.Throughout his career, he has appeared with ensembles including the Spanish National Orchestra, the Orquestra Simfònica del Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Orquestra de Cadaqués and the National Chamber Orchestra of Andorra. His work has taken him to Germany, France, the Netherlands, Italy, the United States and Japan.
A committed chamber musician, Fuster is co-founder of Harmonia Quintet de Vent, Barcelona 216, Diabolus in Musica, Trio Cervelló and Kammart Ensemble. He has collaborated with groups such as the Glinka Quartet and Quartet Quiroga, and has made numerous recordings for radio and labels including Hyades Arts, Stradivarius and Ars Harmónica. His repertoire includes several works dedicated to him by contemporary Spanish composers, and his recordings of clarinet quintets with the Glinka Quartet have received strong international critical recognition.

Thomas Greaves - Bassoon
Thomas is Assistant Principal Bassoon of the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and National Orchestra of Catalonia (OBC), a position he has held since 2006. He is also a member of Barcelona 216 and the Julià Carbonell Symphony Orchestra of the Lands of Lleida. Earlier in his career, he served for eight years as Co-Principal Bassoon and Contrabassoon of the Galicia Symphony Orchestra, appearing regularly with the ensemble at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro.Originally from Long Island, New York, he began his musical studies at the BOCES Conservatory at the age of nine. At sixteen, he was accepted into the Juilliard School’s pre-college programme, studying with Mark Goldberg, before continuing his Bachelor of Music degree there with Franck Morelli on a scholarship from the Liberace Foundation.
His professional activity has also included a season as Principal Bassoon of the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra and appearances at festivals such as Tanglewood, the Music Academy of the West and the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival. Alongside his performing career, he has taught bassoon and contrabassoon with the Youth Orchestra of Galicia, contributing to its development as one of Spain’s leading orchestral training institutions.

Giuliano Mazzoccante - Piano
Italian pianist graduated with highest honours from the Conservatory “L. Cherubini” in Florence, where he studied with Lucia Passaglia. He continued his training at the Accademia Musicale Umbra, the European Academy of Music in Erba with Lazar Berman, and the International School of Chamber Music in Duino with the Trio di Trieste.A prizewinner at several national and international competitions, he won the Arcangelo Speranza International Piano Competition in Taranto in 2002 and received awards at the T.I.M. International Music Tournament, the Prix Venice and the International Tbilisi Piano Competition. His performing career has taken him to venues and festivals throughout Europe, Asia and the Middle East, both as a soloist and chamber musician.
He has appeared with ensembles including Camerata Baltica, the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, the Kiev Philharmonic Orchestra and several Italian orchestras. Since 2010, he has taught chamber music at the Internationale Sommer-Akademie Schloss Pommersfelden. He is also founder and Artistic Director of the Music and Art International Music Academy in Chieti, and Artistic Director of the Teatro Marrucino concert season and the In Musica International Music Festival and Piano Competition in Rome.

Albert Mora - Flute
Albert Mora combines an extensive orchestral career with a strong commitment to chamber music, teaching and artistic leadership. He is Principal Flute of the Symphony Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu and teaches Flute, Chamber Music and Improvisation at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC).A graduate of the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, where he studied with Paul Meisen, he also received important artistic inspiration from Sergiu Celibidache. His training has been further shaped by work with Barthold Kuijken, Robert Aitken, György Sebök and Jean-Pierre Rampal. He has performed with ensembles including the Barcelona Symphony and Catalonia National Orchestra, Orquestra de Cadaqués, Qatar Philharmonic and the Wiener Staatsoper.
Alongside his orchestral work, Mora has developed an active chamber music career in formations ranging from flute and harp to flute and guitar, and has appeared in Europe, the Americas and Japan. He has also conducted the Gèrminans Youth Orchestra, taught at leading youth orchestras and academies, and served as Artistic Director of the Barcelona Chamber Philharmonic. His recordings include Soliloquis, Aires y Tiempos and A Night at the Opera. He performs on a Powell wooden Boehm flute.

Ionuț Podgoreanu - French Horn
Ionuț Podgoreanu is Principal Horn of the Symphony Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, a position he has held since 2006. He began his musical training in Ploiești with Liviu Săvuță, before continuing at the National University of Music in Bucharest with Nicolae Lipoczi and at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg with Hansjörg Angerer.From 2002 to 2005, he was Principal Horn of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra, performing under conductors including Pierre Boulez, Claudio Abbado and Iván Fischer. His orchestral career has also brought collaborations with ensembles such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Teatro alla Scala, the Munich Philharmonic, the Orchestre National de France, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra.
Alongside his performing activity, Podgoreanu has been Professor of Horn at the Liceu Conservatory of Music since 2014. He is a member of the Romanian Chamber Orchestra, founder of the ensemble Mioritique and Principal Director of the Simfonics Orchestral Academy of Barcelona. Between the 2024 and 2026 seasons, he is Artist-in-Residence at the “Banatul” Philharmonic Orchestra of Timișoara.

Sofia Raichenko - Piano
Ukrainian pianist Sofía Raichenko began her musical training in Kyiv at an early age. She studied at the Kiev Music Institute with Anna Smekhova and at the Tchaikovsky Academy with Yuri Kot, before continuing at the Maastricht Conservatory with Katia Veekmans and Henk Guitart, and at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln with Anthony Spiri and Harold Schoneweg.A prizewinner at several international competitions, she has received awards including the Prokofiev Piano Competition, the Bortniansky Chamber Music Competition, the Maastricht Music Prize and the Kammermusik Wettbewerb in Cologne. Her artistic development has also included studies at the Chigiana Academy in Siena and the Orlando Festival in the Netherlands, as well as masterclasses with artists such as Bruno Giuranna, Lilya Zilberstein and Enrico Pace.
As a chamber musician, Raichenko has performed throughout Europe, Asia and South America with musicians including Marc Bouchkov, Alexander Chaushian and Boris Brovtsyn. With the Malevich Piano Quartet, she recorded world premieres by Oscar van Hemel and Hans Kox for Etcetera Records. Since 2024, she has been Co-Artistic Director of the chamber music series at the Círculo del Liceo in Barcelona.

Joaquín Riquelme - Viola
Joaquín Riquelme García is a Spanish violist and a member of the Berliner Philharmoniker, which he joined in 2010 after serving as Assistant Principal Viola of the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra. Originally from Murcia, he began his studies at the Conservatory of Murcia with Pedro J. Navarro and Antonio J. Clares, before graduating with honours from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid, where he studied with Emilio Mateu and Alan Kovacs. He later completed his Konzertexamen with Hartmut Rohde at the Universität der Künste Berlin.
A First Prize winner at the Villa de Llanes and Tomás Lestán viola competitions, he has appeared as a soloist with orchestras including the Baden-Baden Philharmonie, the Asturias, Murcia and Galicia Symphony Orchestras, the Orquesta de Valencia and the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra. His recordings include the Viola Concerto by Salvador Brotons for Eudora Records, alongside releases for Naxos and several European radio broadcasters.
An active chamber musician, Riquelme collaborates with artists including Emmanuel Pahud, Daishin Kashimoto, Christian Zacharias and Jörg Widmann. He also performs with ensembles such as Ensemble Berlin and the Philharmonisches Oktett, appearing at festivals and venues including the KKL Luzern, Vienna’s Konzerthaus and Munich’s Herkulessaal. He performs on a 1780 Domenico Busan viola, the “ex-Giuranna”.

George Tudorache - Violin
Romanian violinist George Tudorache has built an international career as a soloist, concertmaster, chamber musician, conductor and teacher. He studied with Ștefan Gheorghiu before continuing at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris with Jean-Jacques Kantorow and Svetlin Roussev, graduating with First Prizes in Violin and Chamber Music.At the age of twenty-four, he was appointed Concertmaster of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège. He has since appeared as guest concertmaster with orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and WDR Sinfonieorchester Köln. His performances have taken him to venues such as the Berlin Philharmonie, Vienna Musikverein, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Royal Albert Hall.
A prizewinner at several international competitions and a semi-finalist of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, Tudorache is also an active chamber musician and conductor. He is Professor of Violin at IMEP Namur and, since 2025, Artistic Director of the Ion Voicu International Violin Competition in Bucharest.

Sebastian Tegzeșiu - Violin
Romanian violinist Sebastian Tegzeșiu studied at the National University of Music in Bucharest with Daniel Podlovski, Ștefan Gheorghiu and Gabriel Croitoru, before completing Master’s degrees in Performance and Soloist studies at the Musik-Akademie Basel with Adelina Oprean. He made his orchestral debut as a soloist at the age of eight and has since performed with orchestras in Romania and abroad, including the Sinfonieorchester Basel, Musique des Lumières and the National Chamber Orchestra of Radio Bucharest.
Alongside his solo activity, he has been invited as concertmaster by the Stadttheater Klagenfurt, Neues Orchester Basel, the Alumni Sinfonie-Orchester Bern, the Israel Sinfonietta Beer-Sheva and Musique des Lumières. His international appearances have included recitals and festivals across Europe and Asia, as well as collaborations with conductors such as Paavo Järvi, Valery Gergiev, Kent Nagano and Antonello Manacorda.
A prizewinner at competitions including Jeunesses Musicales Bucharest, Tibor Varga Sion and the Orpheus Swiss Chamber Music Competition, Tegzeșiu is also a member of the Daimones Piano Trio. His recordings have been broadcast by BBC Radio 3, Radio Swiss Classic and Romanian Radio. Since 2023, he has served as Manager of the Brașov Philharmonic, while continuing his performing and conducting activity.

ALBERT GUINOVART - PIANO
Albert Guinovart is a Catalan pianist and composer whose career combines performance, composition, orchestration and teaching. He studied at the Conservatori Superior Municipal de Música de Barcelona and later continued his piano training in London with Maria Curcio, with whom he also worked as an assistant.
As a pianist, he has performed throughout Europe, America, Japan and Australia, appearing with orchestras including the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and National Orchestra of Catalonia, the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, the Sydney Festival Orchestra, the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra of Budapest. His recitals often combine major classical and Romantic repertoire with Spanish music and his own piano works.
As a composer, Guinovart has written operas, symphonic music, chamber works, film and television scores, and several successful musicals, including Mar i Cel, Flor de Nit, Gaudí and La Vampira del Raval. His recordings have been released by labels such as EMI, Decca, Harmonia Mundi and Sony Classical. Since 2002, he has been Professor of Orchestration and Composition at ESMUC in Barcelona.
